COLUMBUS, OH – The Web.com Tour Wives partnered with the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship to “Fill the Cart with Fun!” The Web.com Tour Wives invited tournament attendees to team up to help fill golf carts with games, toys and crafts that will benefit the patients of the Pediatric Cancer Unit at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

PGA TOUR Wives Build Gardens at Louisville Elementary School
LOUISVILLE, KY. — What do you get when you bring together 60 energetic and enthusiastic women who want to help feed children? Plenty. For starters, you get nine vegetable gardens built and installed at Engelhard Elementary School in downtown Louisville.
PTWA and GreatBlue Research hosted “Pirates & Princesses” Mini-Golf Golf Tournament for Make-A-Wish Children at Travelers Championship
HARTFORD, CT., – The Travelers Championship with GreatBlue Research and the PGA TOUR Wives Association hosted a mini golf tournament to benefit Make-A-Wish® Connecticut. Members of the PGA TOUR Wives Association, with special guest appearances by PGA TOUR players, played in a special Pirates and Princesses themed mini golf tournament alongside Make-A-Wish children on Wednesday, June 18th. Before the mini golf portion of the event, the PGA TOUR Wives Association members, officials from GreatBlue, participants and their families met in the GreatBlue Champions Club for a lunch buffet, sponsored by Aramark. After lunch, everyone went down to the FML, CPAs Mini Golf Course to begin the event. The participants were awarded pirates and princess-themed giveaways throughout the tournament”.

The anguishing irony is that many children still leave school for the weekend, bound for what should be the sanctity of home. “In 1988, a seven year-old Justin Rose watched Curtis Strange win the U.S. Open, Nike unveiled its “Just do it” slogan and “Together Forever” by Rick Astley topped the Billboard music charts. 1988 was also the year a group of women with the ability to help those less fortunate decided to ban together. That then-nascent organization is today guided by the “Together, Anything’s Possible” mantra and known as the PGA TOUR Wives Association.”
